78th Annual Professional Agricultural Workers Conference (PAWC) Memorial Luncheon
At the 78th Annual Professional Agricultural Workers Conference (PAWC) Memorial Luncheon on December 8, 2020, two members of Virginia State University were honored.
The Memorial Lecture honors an individual (or individuals) who has passed away and over his or her lifetime contributed significantly to agriculture, teaching, research and extension at an 1890 land-grant institution or Tuskegee University.
This year’s honorees were Dr. Marvin Fields and Dr. Mildred Jordan, who chose to devote much of their careers as outstanding educators and dedicated leaders in their respective fields. Both were passionate, life-long learners and servant leaders who become role models to others. Not just to those who worked with and learned directly from them, but to later generations and to people far beyond the walls of VSU.
