Virginia Cooperative Extension (VCE) is pleased to announce a new online resource to help Virginians before, during and after emergency situations. From issues surrounding severe weather damage and emergency financial situations to pet and livestock health and more, VCE offers valuable research-based answers to support communities preparing and recovering from disasters. The VCE web-based resource is housed on Virginia State University’s VCE website at: https://www.ext.vsu. edu/emergency-preparedness.

Visitors to Virginia Tech’s VCE website looking for emergency resources will be directed to the VSU site. To learn which VCE program or Extension specialist may be able to best assist you, visit the site, or contact your local extension office. A list of offices and contact information can be found at: https:// ext.vt.edu/offices.html.

Connection is published by Virginia State University’s College of Agriculture. Special thanks to everyone who contributed content, photos, ideas and time to this edition.
