Boosters
As of September 2022, there are new bivalent boosters available that help to protect people aged 5 years and older against COVID-19 infection. The updated boosters reduce your risk of becoming ill from COVID-19 by targeting the original version of the virus that causes COVID-19 and the latest omicron variants. COVID-19 vaccines and boosters are safe, effective, and have been authorized or approved by the Food and Drug Administration. Getting a booster increases your protection against the COVID-19 virus and variants, and helps to reduce your risk of severe illness, hospitalization, or death from COVID-19.
