Family and Consumer Sciences Senior Extension Agent

Jane Henderson is a Senior Family and Consumer Sciences Extension Agent with Virginia Cooperative Extension in Amelia County. She is a native of Virginia and attended Virginia State University where she received a Bachelor’s in Home Economics and Business and a Masters of Education degree. She has been employed by Virginia Cooperative Extension since 2007, and the focus of her work is to address nutrition and wellness issues in the counties she serves through collaborative initiatives.
Jane enjoys being outdoors, crafting, and listening to music. She has lived outside of the U.S. and enjoys traveling and exploring this wondrous planet earth. She found it exciting to experience different cultures and meet new people and feels that the experience prepared her to work with people from all different backgrounds as a Lifestyle Coach for the VCE DPP.
