How to Enhance and Interpret Drone Images

Tim P. Sexton, LPSS-CNMP, Nutrient Management Program Manager, Virginia Department of Conservation and Recreation, Soil and Water Conservation Division, will discuss remote sensing from its first applications for agriculture in the late 1930’s to today. He will provide information about when the use of drones is practical and when the use of more conventional methods of imagery is better suited for farming operations. Additional discussion will cover timing flights for gathering information, early detection of disease and pests, and detecting plant deficiences through remote sensing.
