VSU Small Farm Outreach Program will host this program presented by Jason Fisher, Central Region Extension Agent in Agriculture and Natural Resources. Jason works to promote sustainable forest and natural resources management research and techniques to landowners, loggers, professional foresters, and educators.

Fisher will present information about key items landowners need to consider for forest regeneration after harvesting including: tree selection for species that will do best on your property; the differences between establishing pine and hardwood forest stands and the cost/revenue considerations for tree selection. He  will also lead a tree identification session during the morning.
