6:15 AM Depart from (1) VSU Randolph Farm OR (2) The Carver Center
7:50 AM Depart from (3) Spotsylvania Towne Centre, Fredericksburg
9:30 AM Arrive at Beltsville Agricultural Research Center (Maryland)
Tour the Beltsville Agriculture Research Center (BARC) laboratories, greenhouse and environmental facilities to learn about the wide variety of research projects that are conducted including fruit and vegetable improvement, cropping systems, plant disease agents, insect pests, genomics, environmental studies and human nutrition.
See research related to livestock production at the Dairy area of BARC related to dairy cows as well as poultry, bees, goats and pigs.
