No-Till cultivation techniques can greatly improve soil health and crop yield but most mainstream no-till systems are heavily dependent on using Roundup. Join us as we showcase our no-till demonstrations that are completely free of herbicides. This has become an important cultivation system at the Education Farm because it works! Protect downstream water resources, increase crop yields, build long term soil health and save labor, what’s not to like about that! Plus you can even support pollinators and other beneficial insects. Come see for yourself and we will explain our system in detail.
If you are a person with a disability and desire any assistive devices, services or other accommodations to participate in this activity, please contact the Small Farm Outreach Program Office at (804) 524-3292 /TDD (800) 828-1120 during business hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. to discuss accommodations five days prior to the event.
