In this Farmers Market Readiness workshop, we will provide an overview of food safety for farmers at the farmers’ market. It will cover when a food inspection is required, how to obtain an inspection, and the exemptions from inspection that are in the Virginia Food Laws. Additionally, it will also touch on the applicable laws and regulations, food labeling and packaging. The webinar will also discuss how to become VA Grown and VA finest designated. We will also hear from VDACS, VDH, Virginia Cooperative Extension, VA GROWN and VA FINEST.
