Vegetables can be an important crop for both small-scale farmers and home gardeners. Workshop participants will learn about production techniques, varieties and protected culture systems to grow vegetables for home use or as a business enterprise. Special attention will be on proper techniques for transplant production, alternative production systems, tillage, potential pests and planning. Crops that have market potential and potential health benefits will be emphasized.
