Tuesday, March 22, 2022 • 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM

Zoom Event

A high tunnel is an agricultural structure that allows a grower to extend the growing season and protect crops from adverse weather conditions. Vegetables can be an important crop for both small-scale farmers and home gardeners. Workshop participants will learn about using high tunnels to grow horticulture crops.

Topics covered will be structures selection, management, maintenance, and costs associated with high tunnel production. Special emphasis will be placed on proper techniques for transplant production, alternative production systems, tillage, potential pests, and planning for crops with market potential and health benefits.
