Recordkeeping for Greater Profits

Thursday, April 7, 2022 • 6:00 – 8:00 PM

Zoom Event

Farming is a business, and good recordkeeping is essential for a successful farming operation. Recordkeeping provides valuable information on which methods work best on your farm. It can help you predict changes in inputs, expenditures, and sales. Keeping accurate records has its benefits, such as helping to plan a complete realistic forecast for the coming year. It may also be a requirement for some lending institutions. Greg Carter will lead this workshop. He grew up on a small farm, but worked in the corporate world, retiring from a major box store as a manager. After retirement, he returned to his roots and started a small diversified farming operation. Recordkeeping was an essential part of his business career, and he is able to use that experience on the farm.
