Small Ruminant Guardian Animals: Choosing a Good Protector
Friday, August 12, 2022 • 12:00 – 1:00 PM
Zoom Event
The American Sheep Industry Association notes that predation is the leading cause of death in American sheep flocks. By using livestock guardian animals, you can give your flock or herd 24-hour, around-the-clock bodyguards, and allow the animals to stay out grazing on the farm. Effective guardians prevent injuries and deaths of your sheep and goats and give you—the farmer—peace of mind. They are well worth the cost!
Join us for a producer panel discussion about:
• Guardian dogs, donkeys and llamas
• Why not all guardian animals are effective
• How to increase your chances of getting a good protector instead of another problem.
