Preparing Soils For Spring Planting

Participants in this workshop will learn about soil sampling: what it is, how it is done, why it is important to do it and how often should it be done. Tammy Holler, VSU-SFOP State Program Assistant and Nutrient Management specialist, will be the speaker for this workshop. She will explain how to understand soil test results and show how the various nutrients affect crops. She will also share information about cover crops and composting.
