From Farm to Market

Southside Produce Auction, 137 Vincent Store Road, Charlotte Court House, VA
We will meet at the Southside Produce Auction. While there, participants will learn how the auction system works and how to safely deliver products from the field to the market, including loading, setting up, and packing systems required for commercial sales. Afterwards, we will travel to a local farm to learn about small-scale and commercial production. The farm tour will include crop production in both field and high tunnels. This tour is an excellent opportunity for farmers interested in taking the leap to commercial sales and improving efficiency and operations on their farms.
