Introduction to Bokashi Composting

Friday, December 20, 2024 • 12:00 PM - 2:00 PM

VSU Randolph Farm, 4415 River Rd, Petersburg, VA

Come learn about one of the best composting methods that most farmers are unaware of. Bokashi composting, the Japanese word that means "fermented organic matter". Bokashi composting allows for more than just your traditional green and brown wastes. Bokashi allows meat, dairy, feces, and even bone.  This workshop will discuss how to source, prepare, and use Bokashi composting to bring added value to your farm.
