Tomato Grafting
Thursday, April 10, 2025 • 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM
VSU Randolph Farm, 4415 River Road, Petersburg, VA 23803
Tomato plant grafting is a helpful method for improving yields and managing soil diseases for both high tunnel and field production of tomatoes. Successful grafting requires a high degree of skill and attention to details to have consistent results. Dan Gagnon of Broadfork Farm has combed the information available in academic and online setting and identified the need for a system to increase the success rate of growers grafting tomato plants on their farm. This presentation uses slides and video from grafting done at Broadfork Farm. Participants will have the opportunity to have hands on practice grafting experience while handling the tools and materials required for both grafting and healing or successful tomato grafting.
