• Aquaculture Nutrition
• Water Quality and Fish Health
• Farm Pond Management
• Freshwater Shrimp
• Cage Culture
• Greenhouse Production Systems/Aquaponics and Tour
• Sampling fish populations
• Over-Wintering Solar Power Energy Unit
• ABCs of RAS (Recirculating Aquaculture Systems)
Hands-On Group Activities include:
• Pond Side Feeding and Research
• Catfish Fingerling Transport
• Pond and Cage Stocking
• Catfish Pond Seining
• Harvest and Handling
• Water Quality Testing
• Sample Shrimp Population
• Largemouth Bass Culture
• Cage Construction
• Pond Shrimp Growth Evaluation
• Shrimp Transport and Stocking, Processing/HACCP
• Tour of Processing Facility
• Taste Test: Sample Fish and Freshwater Shrimp
• Aquaponics Unit Construction—Greenhouse Limited-Scale Recirculation
Participants should wear comfortable/old clothing and footwear suitable for getting wet.
