This educational workshop is free and open to the public.

Presentations from Tim Vaughn, owner of Lillian Lee Farm, and Tracy Porter, VSU Small Farm Outreach Agent, will include breed selection, brooder designs, preparing to receive chicks through the mail, feeding, watering and heat lamps.

Attendees will also have the opportunity to see an A-frame style mobile coop (chicken tractor) that can be moved easily by one person. Components and design of a solar-powered electrified poultry netting will also be shown.
