Small market farmers in Virginia may improve customer reach and retention, increase farm product and service awareness, and boost sales through the development and management of a farm website.

In this hands-on class, small farm participants will learn how to make a free business website using the online web builder:  WIX.com.  WIX.com is an intuitive web software builder that has pre-made webpage templates made by professional graphic designers that small farmers can adapt to fit their needs which may include social media links, and online sales, surveys, customer emails, and much more!

VSU Agribusiness & Marketing Extension specialist Dr. Theresa Nartea will instruct farmers in this hands-on training to help them increase their confidence in creating a business webpage, communicate with existing and potential customers online and explore ways to be profitable and manage business risk in a competitive marketplace.

Participants MUST bring a laptop computer WITH INTERNET ACCESS CAPABILITY to be able to fully participate in the hands-on training.
