This workshop is free and open to the public. Pre-registration is not required.

Explore the complex web of living organisms that can help make your garden soil much more productive. We will discuss the different types of organisms that are vital to good healthy soil and how you can be a better farmer by treating your soil as a living community.

We will be joined by Nancy Berlin from Prince William VCE and Thomas Bolles of Prince William SWCD. We will have guest worms, too! We also will take the time to look at how we build soil bio-diversity at the Fauquier Education Farm with methods you can use at home.

If you are a person with a disability and desire any assistive devices, services or other accommodations to participate in this activity, please contact the Small Farm Outreach Program Office at (804) 524-3292 /TDD (800) 828-1120 during business hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. to discuss accommodations five days prior to the event.
