This workshop is free and open to the public. Space is limited.
Join Small Farm Outreach Program Agent Tracy Porter to learn more about how to establish a profitable poultry processing farm operation.
This comprehensive workshop will begin with information to help you get started, including broiler variety selections and brooding set up, as well as options and equipment needed for feed and water in both pasture (with a mobile coop) and in a stationary coop to keep your flock healthy and safe from predators. Then, learn about available types of processing equipment, insurance options that can help manage risk, and ways that you can effectively market your business and products to consumers.
