Get Started With Small-Scale Aquaponics Production
Aquaponics is the integration of growing plants and fish into one system. The workshop will cover the necessary information on how to do a small-scale aquaponics for hobbyists, schools and as an enterprise for a farm and urban setting. A small-scale aquaponics unit will be demonstrated as part of the workshop.
Dr. David Crosby, and Chris Mullins with VSU Extension in areas of aquaculture, horticulture and aquaponics will present information related to the following topics:
Overview of aquaponics
Aquaponic system design
Plants for aquaponics
Fish for aquaponics
Water quality and fish health
