How to Select and Brood Chicks

This Zoom workshop will cover what you need to know in order to successfully raise layers or broilers from chicks. Topics will include breeds; ordering chicks through the mail; picking up chicks locally; equipment and supplies you will need to raise chicks; watering systems; heat lamps; chick feed, grit and calcium; protection from predators, and when to transition your chicks from the brooder to the chicken house or out to pasture. Attendees will be able to ask questions in the chat box and questions will be addressed after each topic.
