Small Ruminant Series: Weaning for Success

Small ruminant producers of all experience levels will learn about the pros and cons of early vs. late weaning, post-weaning vaccinations, deworming, and other best management practices for promoting growth and weight gain for lambs and kids. A question/answer session for problems associated with weaning and post-weaning will provide valuable learning opportunities. Lee Wright, Superintendent and Sheep Specialist of the Southwest VA Agricultural Research and Extension Center, will provide instruction and demonstration.
