How to Dig, Cure and Store White Potatoes

Tracy Porter, Sr., VSU SFOP Regional Program Assistant for Eastern Virginia and Crenshaul Turner, SFOP Farm Technician, will provide an in-person workshop at VSU Randolph Farm on how to dig, cure and store Irish (White) Potatoes. Topics will include varieties and their characteristics; integrated pest management to mitigate disease, weed pressure, insects and wildlife damage; drip irrigation; when to fertilize; digging techniques; and how to cure and store white potatoes.
